Her training enabled her
To avoid conflict
She cared for the ‘whole person’
Sorrow she could not inflict
“Oh Manu”, she cried
In a time of despair
“I long to meet their real needs
In their last remaining years”
...Connie found solace
Under Manu’s wing
Much encouragement
To her he did bring
He reminded her kindly
That all relationships are forever
And that ‘rules and regulations’
That are fair, wise and clever
Will build ‘The platform’
Between client and carer
Then both lives are enhanced
As they share their journey together
